ClearSight Networks Provides Interoperability With Wireshark  
(Yahoo - January 5, 2009) ClearSight Networks, a worldwide provider of award-winning application and analysis tools for today's dynamic networks, today announced that it has expanded the capabilities of its market-leading network capture appliance,Network Time Machine® (NTM). This latest enhancement to the market-leading NTM family provides improved performance, integration with ClearSight Apex®and a new level of interoperability with Wireshark®, a leading freeware protocol analyzer.
 
VoIP Gains Traction in Slower Economy

How We Tested 3Com's Unified Communication Solution  
(NetworkWorld - December 22, 2008) Testing was conducted on the 3Com VCX Unified Communications Solution configured for a main office, a secondary regional office, a remote branch office and a home office. We included full redundancy for server components at the main office and secondary regional office.
SIP interoperability was verified using WinSIP 4.0 from Touchtone Technologies and ClearSight Analyzer 6.0.1.134 from ClearSight Networks. Third-party phones from Polycom (650, 550, 430 and 330), Grandstream and Snom were also used to verify SIP interoperability. Hitachi and Nokia (E61) dual mode phones were included in the testing.

ClearSight Networks Brings VoIP Testing to 'Small' Businesses  
(VoIp News - December 08, 2008) ClearSight Networks Inc. claims to be offering a new VoIP testing solution for SMBs (small- to medium-sized businesses). That may be technically true, but it's clearly focusing on the high end of that segment. The network data capture and analysis system it has just introduced runs $15,000 per copy. It would take a sizable problem to justify that kind of expenditure — say, an IP phone system serving a thousand or so employees, most of whom are complaining about unacceptable call quality.
 
ExtraHop Eases Application Performance  
(InformationWeek - December 08, 2008) Application management and troubleshooting is important when something goes horribly wrong. Many products on the market today are too high level or too detailed with few capabilities to bridge the gap. ExtraHop recently said its ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance appliance provides both high level, aggregate performance statistics, application aware processing, and packet level decodes making the product suitable for both the business manager monitoring status and the network and application engineer troubleshooting issues.
